199 Park Lane (BBC-1 1965, Isabel Dean, Derek Bond)

Twice weekly drama series 199 Park Lane was a proto soaper telling stories of the people living in a highly exclusive block of flats.

Main characters included Lord Caister (Derek Bond), Kate Harvester (Brenda Kaye), Stella Graham (Isabel Dean) and her husband (Ben Graham).

Created by William Fairchild the series aired on BBC One and their were 18 half hour episodes broadcast between 3 August and 1 October 1965. Sadly none of the episodes remain in the BBC archives.
