Blow-Up | 1966 | David Hemmings, Vanessa Redgrave

In this suspenseful drama, Oscar nominated for best director and best picture, a trendy British photographer accidentally photographs what he believes is a crime. David Hemmings plays Thomas, a hot new photographer that shoots models by day and parties by night. While taking photos in a park one day, he sees an interesting couple and takes their photo.

But the woman (Vanessa Redgrave), clearly aggravated, demands the film. Thomas refuses, and when he develops the film, he comes to believe he has captured a murder. For the first time in years, Thomas, wrapped up in the horrifying mystery, rediscovers his passion for photography. Julio Cortazar, who wrote the short story on which the suspenseful drama Blowup was based, appears briefly in the film. He is one of the homeless men photographed by Thomas (David Hemmings).
