Call Me Mister (BBC-1 1986 with Steve Bisley and Dulice Liecier)

UK / BBC One / 10×50 minute episodes / Broadcast 5 September – 7 November 1986

Creator and Producer: Robert Banks Stewart / Script Editor: Bob Baker / Theme Music: George Fenton

Crime drama series. Australian ex-cop Jack Bartholomew comes to Britain after his well to do English father dies, he inherits his estate but prefers to work as a private detective instead. The vibe is very much Bergerac in fact most of the behind the scenes crew were involved in that show too.

It’s actually something of a forgotten gem with only 10 episodes being made. Guest stars included the likes of Haydn Gwynne, Rupert Frazer, Michael Medwin, Norman Kaye, Freda Dowie, Jeff Rawle, Arabella Weir, Ian McNeice, Miles Anderson, Patrick Newell, Colin Jeavons and Marina Sirtis.
