Cash and Company (Channel 7 1975, Serge Lazareff, Gus Mercurio)

Period drama series Cash and Company was set during the 19th century and followed a pair of likeable outlaws in their attempts to give up their bad ways. A follow up called Tandarra appeared the following season, Serge Lazareff however, didn’t appear.

The show was actually screened in the UK before it’s Australian premiere and much like Alias Smith and Jones which featured two outlaws, here, Sam Cash and Joe Brady were also trying their best to go straight.

Their were guest appearances from the likes of Judy Morris, Tony Bonner, Michael Pate, Lynette Curran and Bruce Barry. A film made in 1977 called Raw Deal was basically a continuation of the series featuring the same two leads with the action taking place in the 1870’s.
