Cilla (ITV 2014, Sheridan Smith)

Period drama serial. The life story of Cilla Black who in the early 1960’s was better known as Priscilla White and was working backstage at The Cavern when the Beatles were just making it big, her friendship with the fab four (Ringo was a family friend) led to her meeting their manager Brian Epstein who took her under his wing and worked his star making magic on her.

The drama touches all bases of Cilla becoming one of the biggest UK female singers of the 1960’s as well as focusing extensively on her marriage to Bobby Willis.
