The transformation series Faking It is back on Channel 5 with a new season, kicking off with a significant challenge. The premiere episode airs Tuesday, May 20, at 9:00 PM.
The episode introduces Rex, a Surrey estate agent, who is tasked with convincingly becoming a northern meat trader in just four weeks. His training takes place at Bolton Market under the guidance of experienced traders Tony and Elliot, involving demanding 10-hour shifts. Essex-based wheeler-dealer Tom Skinner also provides Rex with advice on operating a market stall. The transformation includes a complete makeover with a new haircut and tattoos, alongside dialect coaching to master a northern accent. Rex’s ultimate test will be to run a meat stall independently at Barnsley Market, where three industry experts will judge his performance.
