Fellows, The (ITV 1967, Richard Vernon, Michael Aldridge)

The Fellows was a crime drama spin off from The Man in Room 17 and focusing on two government men, Oldenshaw and Dimmock who work out of All Saints College, Cambridge.

The pair had been appointed by the Home Office to work as part of the Peel Research Fellowship to study how crimes change as society develops. However the pair couldn’t help getting involved in solving real life crime outside the confines of the University.

In a curious twist this spin-off garnered it’s own spin-off with Spindoe focusing on one of the criminals (Alec Spindoe played by the brilliant Ray McNally) who appeared in three episodes of this.
