Chris Packham turns his attention to dyslexia in the next installment of BBC Two’s Inside Our Minds. The episode, titled “Inside Our Dyslexic Minds,” airs Monday, May 19, at 9:00 PM GMT and examines why the condition, affecting one in ten people in the UK, is frequently misunderstood.
The program follows two individuals with dyslexia who are frustrated by the lack of comprehension from those around them. To bridge this gap, Packham facilitates the creation of evocative short films, made in collaboration with filmmakers, animators, and graphic designers, allowing them to articulate their experiences to loved ones. Featured stories include a school counselor explaining her dyslexia to her brothers and a builder from South Wales using a musical format to share his perspective. The series aims to foster greater awareness by allowing autistic and neurodiverse individuals from across the UK to create these personal films.
