Two part mini series The Last Frontier lured Linda Evans, then at the height of her popularity thanks to Dynasty, over to take the starring role as an American woman who moves to the Australian outback with her family in a bid to start a new life.
It’s your classic mini-series though, lots of wide open vistas, a good mingling of international stars and home grown legends lik Jack Thompson and Tony Bonner. No surprise to see the always dependable McElroy and McElroy (Hal and Di) as one of the production companies involved but definitely a surprise to see Hanna Barbera’s involvement, they were definitely more used to the animated antics of Scooby Doo and Hong Kong Phooey than getting down and dirty in the Australian bush.
