Crime drama series The Long Arm focused on the cases of a team of detectives led by the no nonsense Inspector Dallas Buchanan. Worthy of note as Channel 10’s first dramatic series, it was filmed in both Sydney and Melbourne and was all very much in the style of the then hugely popular Homicide made by Crawfords. In fact it’s fair to say the series was Channel 10’s attempt to create it’s own Crawfords style show.
