Netflix Orders First Nordic Medical Drama

Netflix is scrubbing in for its first Nordic medical drama, an eight-episode series set in a Norwegian emergency ward, with Sara Khorami (Nothing to Laugh About, Witch Hunt) attached to star. The untitled project is targeting a Fall 2026 premiere.

The series, filmed in Norway, centers on Sofia (Khorami), a talented surgeon dispatched to a chaotic ER. There, amid life-and-death stakes where all patients are equal, she confronts choices between individual ambition and a newfound sense of community and connection.
