Potter’s Picture Palace (BBC-1 1976-1978 with Eden Phillips and Melvyn Hayes)

Writers: Brian Finch, Phil Redmond, Dick Sharples / Producer: John Buttery / Directors: Tony Harrison (Season 1), Jeremy Swan (Season 2)

Well made children’s sitcom. Peter Potter inherits a run down picture house from his Auntie and tries to restore it to its former glory, although in season one his cousin Reggie did his best to try and stop him (if Potter closed the cinema for just one day ownership would pass to Reggie who wanted to knock it down and build a block of flats).
