Secrets of the Red Sea was a series chronicling the adventures of French naval officer and adventurer Henry de Monfreid at the turn of the 20th Century. The main focus was on de Monfreid attempting to set up an Oyster collection company at the edge of the Red Sea but without official backing from the French government he found himself caught up in espionage and even gun running.
After the first run of 13 episodes there was a gap of six years before the second season was made.
The English title for the series was Adventures at the Red Sea.
