ABC is firing up the buzzers for a platinum anniversary run of its hit music quizzer Spicks and Specks, bringing back original host Adam Hills and team captains Myf Warhurst and Alan Brough. The new season is set to bow Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 7:30 PM on ABC TV and streamer ABC iview, marking two decades of the popular format.
The revival will see the return of fan-favorite games including Know Your Product, Substitute, and Sir Mix N Matchalot. ABC is also injecting fresh segments into the mix with new games titled Frank Piñata, Musical Chers, and Will.A.I.am Shakespeare, promising new head-scratchers for the veteran team and viewers.
Lining up to test their musical mettle alongside Hills, Warhurst, and Brough are music stars Megan Washington, Marcia Hines, Kram, Lucy Durack, and Robert Forster. The comedy contingent features Julia Morris, Tom Ballard, Dave O’Neil, and Sara Pascoe.
Musical performances, a staple of the show, will come from acts including The Living End, Spiderbait, Montaigne, Paul Kelly, Emma Donovan, Pseudo Echo, and Barry Morgan. The series will span music from the 1870s through the 1990s to contemporary hits.
The new season is an Australian Broadcasting Corporation Production. Anthony Watt and Rowdie Walden serve as Executive Producers, with Rachel Millar as ABC Head of Entertainment. For fans looking to catch up, previous seasons are available on ABC iview.
