BBC One is set to premiere The Bombing of Pan Am 103, a six-part factual drama revisiting the 1988 Lockerbie disaster. The series launches on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 9:00 PM GMT.
The drama, based on real events, centers on the joint investigation by Scottish police and the FBI to identify those responsible for the bombing that claimed 270 lives. The initial episode will recount the attack and its immediate aftermath. The series stars Connor Swindells, Patrick J Adams, and Tony Curran. It aims to depict the impact of the disaster on the town of Lockerbie and the victims’ families, covering the extensive investigation from the initial evidence gathering through to the 2000 trial and up to the most recent indictment at the end of 2022.
