Stanley Tucci is set to embark on a culinary journey through Italy with his new five-episode series, Tucci in Italy, premiering on National Geographic. The first installment, “Tuscany,” airs Sunday, May 18, 2025, at 8:00 PM ET.
In the premiere, Tucci travels to Tuscany, a region renowned for its culinary heritage and the birthplace of the Renaissance. He revisits Florence, a city where he lived for a year as a youth, and tries an unconventional breakfast dish. His exploration also includes joining traditional Tuscan cowboys on a ranch and attending a large outdoor feast in Siena connected to the Palio.
The series follows Tucci as he meets with locals, chefs, food enthusiasts, and artisans to uncover Italy’s food traditions. Tucci in Italy aims to provide an in-depth look at the country’s culinary landscape.
