Period thriller serial All The Way was set in 1963 where journalist Alan Scott becomes caught up in a conspiracy involving nuclear testing on Australian soil.
A series quickly followed the mini series and opened out to introduce more soapy elements taking in the family lives of the journalists, politicians etc involved in the mini series.
The title came from a 1966 phrase uttered by Prime Minister Harold Holt about how far Australia would become involved in the Vietnam War.
