We’ll Support You Evermore (BBC-1 1985, John Thaw, Ciaran Hinds)

Single drama We’ll Suppport You Evermore focused on a man who is haunted by the mysterious death of his son in Ulster two years previously and the army’s strange silence on the matter, Geoff Collins goes to Belfast determined to discover the truth for himself.

Features another typically strong central performance from John Thaw from a time during the mid-80 where he had yet to start on another long run in a series (i.e. Inspector Morse). The supporting cast was excellent too with roles for an up and coming Ciaran Hinds, the always dependable George Baker and Jesse Birdsall.
