Thriller serial The Writing on the Wall focused on a government agent who got involved in a kidnap and conspiracy involving NATO.
As the world moves towards the second millennium, NATO seems on the surface to have successfully carved out a new role as international peace-keeper. However, behind the comfortable public-relations facade of unity, daily disagreements between the allies over the scope and punch of joint military action are breaking out. Disenchanted with NATO, the USA is now secretly considering a complete withdrawal from Europe. Suddenly there begins a series of unexplained terrorist attacks on American NATO facilities in Europe.
