Comedy Chase Me Comrade was about a Russian ballet dancer decides he wants to defect but following a whole series of farcical manouvres decides it is far too much trouble.
Ray Cooney who contributed the script was something of the farce meister at the time with lots of west end productions (of which this was one), he often starred in them himself and in 1976 he remade this as a big screen movie called Not Now Comrade in which he appeared alongside Leslie Phillips, Carol Hawkins, Windsor Davies and Michele Dotrice.
